What is CBD?

CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is a naturally-occurring compound found in the plants of cannabis (e.g., hemp or marijuana). It's one of the two main ingredients of cannabis; the other one is THC (tetrahydrocannabinol)., pure CBD is a not a psychoactive cannabinoid; it doesn't make you high. CBD is effective in reducing symptoms of anxiety, chronic pain and inflammation, insomnia, and some forms of seizure disorders.

Recent research has also shown that CBD may reduce cognitive decline in Alzheimer patients. CBD may also be useful in treating diseases like substance abuse and alcohol use disorder.

What Is CBD (Cannabidiol) Oil?

CBD is known for its healing properties. It has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which are beneficial in treating skin conditions like inflammation, dryness, and damage by free radical. CBD, especially the CBD oil benefits list, is quite long when it comes to skincare, among other things. CBD is also useful in fighting acne as it helps in reducing the production of sebum from pores of the skin.

Some studies indicate that CBD may help treat chronic conditions like eczema and psoriasis as well. While the research on CBD's skincare benefits is somewhat underway and limited, it is considered safe to use topically. Many dermatologists agree that the application of CBD on skin has no direct adverse effects. There could be allergic reactions, which are more commonly due to additional ingredients in a final product.

How you can use the right product for your skin:

All products infused with CBD are formulated using a full spectrum of CBD oil,  broad-spectrum CBD oil or CBD isolate. CBD oil belonging to the full spectrum has all the compounds found in hemp, including trace amounts of THC. CBD oil belonging to a broad range, on the other hand, contains a lot of cannabinoids like terpenes and flavonoids but no THC. As compared to this, CBD isolate is the purest form of CBD. It doesn't contain any other compounds that you will typically find in a hemp plant.

This form of CBD oil benefits lists is quite long for facial skin as it is pure, cleans our clogged pores, and is packed with rejuvenating antioxidants that act on the surface.

It is vital to always Look for products that mention cannabidiol, hemp extract, broad-spectrum CBD, isolate or full-spectrum CBD on the label. Also, note that the CBD oil is not the same thing as hemp seed oil or cannabis Sativa seed. CBD oil is obtained from the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant. It's lighter and finer as compared to the hemp seed oil, which is thicker and greasier.

Another critical step is to determine what is the percentage of CBD in a product. It is recommended that if you are looking for oils and lotions for anxiety or inflammation, the CBD percentage should be higher. Otherwise, it could not be valid. The essential factor to be considered is the quality of the product and from where you are buying. Over 60% of CBD products sold online are not labeled correctly, so finding a proper store becomes essential. Make sure you purchase from a trusted store like Minimal, and have confidence that the product contains exactly what the label claims it has and is safe by purchasing products that have been tested in a lab.

Are CBD skincare products legal?

Cannabinoids, which are derived from hemp, containing less amount of THC, are generally lower than 0.3 percent. Although CBD is legal in all 50 states as a supplement, its mode of use is still an open question. The federal government still considers CBD products the same as marijuana, but it doesn't habitually enforce laws against it. Currently, a lot of people can buy CBD online without a medical cannabis license. Things might change in the future, as many states are lifting bans of marijuana lately.
