CBD, short for cannabidiol, is one of over 113 all-natural cannabis compounds found in the flowers and leaves of the cannabis plant. CBD is the second-most abundant cannabinoid found in cannabis plants. CBD is non-intoxicating, unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (more commonly known as THC), which is the most abundant cannabinoid in the cannabis plant. It cannot produce the "high" feeling that is characteristic of marijuana because CBD doesn't affect the same receptors.
